Pemberley Shiraz @ $45.00/bottle

Brilliantly saturated colour , this is a dense ruby/fuchsia, and as concentrated on the nose as the colour would suggest. Aro mas of red liquorice, mulberry, blueberry coulis, wild raspberry and brambly cassis cascade out of the glass . The abundant berry fruits are sprinkled with a seasoning of white pepper, exotic spice and star anise. The palate is creamy and full , the intensi ty of the fruit rising to the fore. This is slightly fuller than a medium bodied shiraz and is wearing its cooler climate Pemberton roots on its sleeve. The acidity swoops in through the finish and mops up all the remnants of dense fruit ; the tannins evi dent but serving to bolster rather than dominate .
